TroopPlanner v0.45.0

← All releases

A same-evening follow-up to v0.44.0: four fixes and a security update to a third-party component.

What's new on the site

Communications

  • A newsletter can no longer send itself twice. On August 30 one recipient received the same newsletter five times: nothing stopped a second send starting while the first was still running, and neither run knew the other had already emailed anybody. A broadcast is now claimed the instant a send begins, a second attempt is refused instead of duplicating, and each person is recorded as reached the moment they are reached rather than at the end of the run. A send that dies part-way no longer forgets who it has already emailed. A broadcast reads Sending while it goes out, and a stalled one releases after an hour rather than sticking.

Advancement

  • Two merit-badge pages no longer show an error page.

Roster

  • Merging two scouts who each have a primary parent no longer fails with a server error. The merge page now shows a Primary parent row when the two records disagree, with the surviving scout's parent pre-selected, and lets you choose which one stays primary. Both parents are kept either way; only the marker moves.

Backups & security

  • The Backups destination card saves when you tell it to, instead of on every keystroke. Half-typed values are no longer saved.
  • A third-party component was updated.
