• Every troop is backed up from day one. Backups go to TroopPlanner-managed storage once a month. Switch to weekly any time.
• Or keep them yourself. Send backups to your own Amazon S3 bucket, or to S3-compatible storage such as Backblaze B2 or Wasabi. You can also use your own SFTP server, or download each backup by hand.
• Encrypted before it leaves. Each backup is encrypted before it's sent anywhere. When you set up your own storage, TroopPlanner can create encryption keys for you.
• Test it, run it, see it. Check the connection with one click, run a backup on demand, and see the history of every run.
• Restore it yourself. When you keep your own encrypted backups, a troop admin can restore one without filing a support ticket. (We can also help you when you need us!)
