The Help section arrives in full, and the copy across the site gets one consistent spelling pass.
What's new on the site
Help
- The public Help section grows to 19 short guides. Signing in, your first week, your account, how to RSVP, following advancement, the Eagle trail, the phone version, money, campouts, the roster, equipment, photos, attendance, undoing a mistake, training, the patrol leaders' council, messages, merit badge counselors, and who can see what. Every guide is readable without an account.
- A Help link now sits in the sidebar, so the guides are one click from anywhere in the app.
Communications
- Two warnings on the broadcast compose form, neither of which blocks a send. The first appears when the sender's own Safeguarding Youth Training has lapsed. The second appears when the audience reaches youth and no second adult is on the message. Both appear only for audiences that actually reach youth. The sender counts as one of the two adults, so a single adult recipient clears the second warning.
- The training help guide now describes what the site really does. It had told adults that a lapsed Safeguarding Youth Training blocks a broadcast outright. It never did, and now the guide describes the warning above.
The phone app
- Attendance now saves with each tap. On the phone app's attendance page, marks used to be kept only on the screen until you scrolled to the bottom and pressed Save attendance. A refresh before that threw every mark away. Each mark is now saved the moment you tap it.
Across the site
- Spelling and wording are now American English everywhere you read them. Color, program, toward, waitlist and the like, with a check that stops British spellings from creeping back in.
Behind the scenes
Nothing here changes what you see on the site.
- Merit badge counselor dropdowns load from the shared troop cache, so choosing a counselor for a badge needs fewer database queries.
- Demo troops now show the features they have. Seeded demo events carry default system tags, so their reminder, shift and public-feed controls appear without anyone adding a tag by hand.
