TroopPlanner v0.48.0

← All releases

A small follow-up to v0.47.0, released the same day. Everything in it is a fix; there are no new features.

What's new on the site

Events

  • Deleting a reminder now confirms when you click it. The confirmation used to appear later, on the next page you happened to open. Refusing to delete a reminder that has already started sending was worse: the click looked like it did nothing, and the explanation surfaced afterward somewhere unrelated. Both messages now appear immediately, on the spot.

The phone app

  • The bottom navigation no longer covers the last item on a page. The page reserved space for the bar, but the reserve never worked: the page body was locked to the height of the screen, so the reserved space sat inside that locked box and anything you scrolled past it still ran underneath the bar. Increasing the reserve moved nothing. Measured on a 390x844 phone, the last row sat 39 pixels under the bar; it now clears it.
  • A tap that fails to reach the server now tells you. Previously only a refusal from the server raised a message. A request that never got there at all — a dead connection in a meeting room, the most common failure on a phone — was silent, which was exactly the case the message existed for. It now reads "Could not save that mark. Check your connection and tap again."

Across the site

  • The same lost-connection message now appears on the main site, not just the phone app. A control that reverts on failure — the permission dropdown, for instance — no longer sits showing a value the server never accepted.
  • Unexpected errors now show a plain message. It reads "Something went wrong. Please try again."
