Two fixes come from troop reports: subscribed calendars showed every event four hours early, and a new Fees tab separates the facts about an event fee that one chip used to squeeze together.
What's new on the site
Calendars
- Subscribed calendars show the right times. A troop reported this. In Google Calendar, every timed event appeared four hours early, five after daylight saving ends, on both the personal and the public feed. Each event now carries the troop's time zone. Google can take up to a day to refresh a subscribed feed. All-day events were never affected.
- The event link in a subscribed calendar opens the event. It led to a missing page on every troop.
Email and the newsletter
- The Unsubscribe link on "view this broadcast in your browser" works. It led to a missing page on every troop, so a recipient could not unsubscribe from there.
Events and campouts
- Each event has a Fees tab. The RSVP page used to squeeze four facts about a fee into one status chip with a button that cycled through them. The RSVP page now shows a read-only fee badge, and leaders act on fees from a new Fees tab.
- The campout wizard keeps the RSVP deadline inside the trip. Moving a campout's dates or return time in the wizard now pulls a late deadline back to the end of the trip.
Advancement
- A partly finished merit badge imported from TroopMaster uses its own start date to choose the badge's requirement version, not the date the scout joined.
Photos
- A photo whose file is missing shows a placeholder, on every storage type.
Scouts and families
- The old Account page is retired. Its one unique feature, editing a member's name, username and email in place, is now on the member profile. Creating a member now lands on the profile.
The phone app
- A sign-off saved with no signal now shows clearly. Before, an offline tap looked almost like no tap at all. It now reads "Signed" with a dashed outline and a small clock, in light and dark mode. The bottom bar counts the waiting change at once, and the outline and clock clear by themselves once the phone sends it, with no reload.
Troop settings and equipment
- The Audit Log's "Action type" filter works. It was an empty dropdown. It now lists every action and narrows the log.
- The Backups page refreshes by itself while a backup runs, including after you press "Run backup now". The Restore breadcrumb reads "Home › Backups › Restore", not "Backups › Backups".
- The equipment "Currently Checked Out" panel is readable in dark mode.
Behind the scenes
Nothing here changes what you see on the site.
- Security updates. Three libraries were updated for published security fixes.
