← All releases
Seventeen changes, and two database migrations. Both migrations create new empty tables and rewrite nothing. The main changes: Lead Scout, Lead ASM and Outdoor Coordinator can be named on any event, not only a campout; Undo says by name what it put back; the campout list gets an export; and a public changelog page goes up. Most of the rest is groundwork for later releases.
What's new on the site
Events
- Lead Scout, Lead ASM and Outdoor Coordinator can be named on any event, except a Notice. Until now only a campout had these three roles, so a service project or a hike had nowhere to record who was running it. A repeating-event rule can name them too, and every event the rule creates starts with those leaders.
- Month calendar ties sort the same way every time. When a day held more untimed events than the cell shows, which events stayed visible and which went under "+N more" could change between page loads. The order is now fixed.
Campouts
- The campout list has an export. The list now shows the same export toolbar as the other list pages, and the export follows whatever filter and sort you have applied.
Undo
- Undo says by name what it put back. The message after an undo used to give only a count, such as "undid 2 sign-offs". It now names the scout, the requirement or the item, so you can see what changed without opening the record.
Public pages
- A public changelog at
/changelog/. It has one page per production release, newest first, and anyone can read it without an account.
Behind the scenes
Nothing here changes what you see on the site.
- The site now measures page speed on real traffic. No query text and no form contents are recorded. Until now these numbers came only from testing.
- Groundwork for recovering replaced files. A new kind of record will give each uploaded file (member photo, equipment photo, patrol flag, receipt) a row of its own. That way a replaced or cleared file can be tracked and recovered later. Nothing uses it yet.
- Maintenance commands name the act they perform. A destructive command used to ask for a generic
--confirm or --force. It now takes a flag that says what it does, such as --delete.
- Performance reporting: the nightly report now shows page time as well as query counts, and gives one dashboard redirect its own row. Demo seeding can print the time each stage takes.
- Security updates to third-party libraries.
- Test and documentation tidying: system event tags have one source of truth, with a check against drift; test files carry names that match what they test; three duplicate requirement numbers in the backup specification were renumbered; and the planning specification matches the permission level the site actually uses.
